GREETINGS TO ALL!
Weight lifting. Resistance training. Weight training. Hitting the iron. Whatever you want to call it, everyone should add it to their exercise routine for total fitness. Weight lifting is NOT just for athletes. It is for everyone, young and old, male and female, who wants to improve their health. The benefits are worth learning how to properly get started. That's what I have created. A no-nonsense, straight forward, form first program that is easy to read and understand. I won't lie and tell you it will be easy, but I will tell you that it will be worth it! What are YOU waiting for?
ABOUT ME
I have been teaching Middle School in Michigan's Upper Peninsula since graduating from Northern Michigan University in 1998. I was also in the United States Navy (Active Duty, 1987-1992, and Reserves from 1992-2009), and have served in Iraq (2006).
For the majority of my life, in one way or another, fitness has been a passion of mine. After developing a beginners program and using it with both students and first time adult weight lifters, I figured it would be easier to share if I wrote it all down and got it published. Thanks to Tate Publishing, that dream has happened! I am also branching out into public speaking about health, fitness, and personal motivation. If those topics interest you, please contact me.
